Viperfish? Firefly Squid? There’s a whole world to explore. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Viperfish aren’t exactly cute but they have light producing organs. Different is indeed beautiful.
I dipped the brush in orange and yellow and let creativity take over. Except for the slight darkness, I like them. The ones at the top are beautiful. I’d erase the rest but how would the stem look? I could always paint some lines. I’m an artist of course I’ll think of something. Ok forContinue reading “Are these poppies?”
Martin Luther King Jr. was one man who made a difference. To hear him speak of his dream among hundreds of people with all the confidence in the world makes me feel. Freedom is choice. Freedom is self mastery. Freedom is knowing that you belong when others say you don’t. Freedom is having the gutsContinue reading “Live”
I’ve been stocking up on supplies. I am gathering my thoughts. I want to have a book on my shelf that containes all of these easy wonderful textures. I can fill the first pages with my collage animals. I can have pages filled with 50 ways to paint a flower. I can have pages filledContinue reading “Investing In Myself”

Be the peacock who fears snakes but will fight them if need be. Be like the butterfly who flutters wherever, but knows when to flockContinue reading “Ending with a Poem”
I’ll never forget my Lee friends. They painted the heart shaped leaves in all kinds of color and patterns. I arranged them. I want to paint with a fork more often. My Rooster is looking confident. The gingerbread house was so much fun. My Magnolia friends have a special place in my heart. The AdolfoContinue reading “Favorite Projects and Colors of 2019”
What stands out this year: Eric Carle Art with the students at Lee. This is by far is the best experience ever. Maybe I should turn this experiene into a book? I must. Who knows how many times I have had this idea and its not going anywhere. Watching and creating with the students atContinue reading “Favorite Posts of 2019”
I painted some awesome trees. The moral of this little project is that you can create with all kinds of tools. What a coincidence, my quote expresses this notion. From top to bottom: fork, cork and thin brush, stick, paper ball, dry stamp, washi tape, more paper, and expo marker.
